About me !

I work with individuals as a Counsellor (or a Coach). I'm a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP). I have diplomas in Psychotherapy, Coaching and Transpersonal Development. I'm also qualified as a Heartmath Coach.

I have a BA (Hons) in Psychology and  a Masters Degree in Managing Personal and Professional Change.

I have 40 years professional experience specialising in Human Relations. I’ve worked in a variety of communities and organisations including the NHS, Voluntary Sector and Education where roles have included frontline, senior management and Non-Executive Director. I've helped set up and sustain organisations, implementing significant change such as mergers, restructures and leadership developments. As much of my career was spent in Bradford, I feel able to work sensitively with issues involving inequalities and cultural diversities. I now live and work from a garden studio in Morecambe Bay as well as online.

I’m creative, flexible, curious, and willing to challenge. I like working face-to-face in ways that enable meaningful change and growth. Online and telephone work are not a poor substitute for face-to-face meetings. They work equally well given that it's the quality of the relationship that matters. We can still achieve a lot even when we can't share the same space.

In 2018, I took a planned career break after several years of being a carer. I then extended this break following a second unexpected family bereavement. In 2020, I returned to work online, as a counsellor (and coach), during the pandemic.

I offer an initial free 30 minute consultation to establish if I'm the right person for you to work with.
